52-cent stamp depicts a red jellyfish with inscription "Crossota millsaeare"; however, the jellyfish pictured is Crossota norvegica, and the intended name should have been Crossota millsae.

Six $1.50 stamps depict pre-production Concorde 101 with incorrect caption "01".

Papua New Guinea

Civic values and Services, National Stamp Design Competition.
5.35-K stamp with theme Education is inscribed "Minimising Iliteracy" instead of "Minimising Illiteracy".

2007 August 29

Bangladesh

10-taka postage stamp depicts Dr. Muhammad Yunis as a winner of a Nobel Peace Prize. But the stamp shows the medal for the Nobel Prize in Physics or Chemistry, and incorrect abbreviation of "Muhammad". The stamp is withdrawn, and a modified stamp is issued 5 days later. The new stamp fully spells "Muhammad", shows the correct medal, and more correctly refers to the medal as the Nobel Peace Prize.

Philippines

8-peso stamp depicts Troides magellanus magellanus butterfly, mis-captioned "Troidaes magellanus magellanus".

Iran

650-rial stamp depicts two Siberian cranes, with caption "Grus Leucogranus" instead of "Grus leucogeranus".

2007 September 22

Pakistan

10-rupee stamp marks the 3rd meeting of the ECO postal authorities; the design was copied from the Iranian stamp, and erroneously kept the denomination, release date, and country name.

Grenada

$6 stamp depicts Leading Seaman Jack Foreman Mantle with misspelled caption "Mantel".

Dominican Republic

25-peso stamp depicts flags of Dominican Republic and Netherlands, but the three stripes of the Netherlands flag should all be the same width.

2007 December 4

Mauritius

5-rupees stamp depicts nine portraits and captions of first elected cabinet, but A.H. Osman appears in place of A.M. Osman, and incorrect captions "Dr. G. Millien" instead of "Dr. E. Millien", and "R. Vaghjee" instead of "H.R. Vaghjee".

2007 December 7

Canada

"Permanent" postage stamp depicts Pachena Point Lighthouse and (to the left) the keeper's house on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, but the image is reversed due to use of a reversed photo in creating the design. A corrected design is later released.

41-cent stamp depicts Gerty Cori; the biochemical structure illustration is incorrect.

15-dinar stamp honors Abdelhamid Benhadouga but depicts Mohammed Dib.

42-cent stamp shows US flag at night with 14 stripes instead of the correct 13 (7 stripes below blue canton instead of 6).

Uruguay

12-peso stamp marks the 100th anniversary of Dr. Juan J. Crottogini, and depicts the caduceus of Roman god Mercury, rather than the staff of Asclepius, the Greek god of medicine.

United States of America

42-cent stamp depicts flag of Colorado state and a mountain, but the mountain appears to be based on Mount Helen in Wyoming.

500-rupee stamp promotes the Deepavali Festival, but errs with a misspelling of the Hindi translation of "Happy Deepavali".
